Goalsetting - What is this about
There are many things that we all want to achieve in life, but having the intention to achieve something
still results a lot of times in nothing. Searching on the internet for some self-help advice, one of many recommendations
is to write down your goals. I got inspired by an assumed study on the Yale graduation class of 1953:
Only 12 out of 400 students wrote down their goals and after 20 years these 3% were more successful than the rest combined.
Could such a small act really make such a difference? Searching for more details, you might find that this study was also attibuted to a Harvard graduation class or done by the Ford Foundation and since I could not find the source anywhere, I also believe it is an urban legend. But nonetheless writing down your goals and structuring them can help to achieve them. Afterall, it is just like a long-term todo-list. And since I want to do something about my procrastination, I am publishing it in public.
