A little bit of that and a little bit of that
A lot was going the last few days, so here is a small wrap up. After finding out that mail was apparently deliberately not being delivered to me, I called up the service of the postal comapny and registered my complaint with them. But there would be no feedback to me unless I complain a second, only then a written statement will be issued. So I have been thinking a lot about hoe many letters might have gone missing and who I should be contacting about all this. Really a headache. At least today I got the documents from C.-Bank. And I know of two other non-commercial mailings that should be here tomorrow or the day after. On the one hand I do not want to miss these, but on the other hand if one of them is not being delivered, I would have a reason to get a written statement from the postal service. It kind of bugs me that there is will not be an official reply about the reasons of the initial returned letters.
The night before yesterday I also had been sleeping very little, only about two hours and I had to return to Bosch again for my first day of work. Luckily this day was still a bit slow settling back in can getting aquainted with my new and old responsibilities. At least now I get a discounted lunch there.
Then in order to unclutter my life a little more, I try everyday to put two things online on eBay and try to sell them there. I have a lot things accumulated and a lot of books that I haven't looked at for years. And even if I get just one Euro out of these things, I will be happy. Especially all the books that are difficult to sell. But I suppose the books that still have some value are better sold on Amazon. On eBay only the auctions that start at 1 Euro are free to set up, so you run the risk to sell your book for only 1 Euro. On Amazon you can set any price and it is a lot easier to set up than eBay, but they do charge a higher commission for their services. So if you have the time and do not want to risk selling your stuff too cheap, it is better to choose Amazon.
And since it is cold, wet, cold and slippery outside and thanks to my foot, going for a run to exercise is a bit risky for me these days. I have become an even greater sloth. Well, in order to something about, I am trying the training schedules from
Hundredpushups.com and Twohundredsitups.com. Maybe I can stick to this and put a badge or two on my blog in about 6 weeks. Wish my room had a little more space though. Besides the bed, there is not much space to get down and do the exercises...
Oh well, time to sleep, got classes this weekend again.

Jogging at Sunrise
I am feeling healthy again and pondering if the brown water that came out of my tap on Thursday had anything to do with my sickness. Still some of you might think that I am not quite sane because I just came back from a run at 5am after having worked all night. Anyways, I actually saw a lot more people out there than I expected. Interestingly, all guys seemed to be on their way home, while all females seemed to up for an early start into the day.
First guy that I saw was walking around with a beer bottle in this hand and even though we are in Germany, it did not seem to be his breakfast. Oh and just for the record: he did not seem to be a student. However the second guy that I met seemed to be one. And seeing me jogging at this early however was obviously not fitting into his concept of the world. He kinda looked surprised, confused and disturbed at the same time.
I ran across the Österberg-hill, saw the sky turning reddish over Lustenau as the sun was rising to start the day. At the bottom of this hill is a small stable where sheep are being kept that are usually used as biological lawnmowers. And in front the stable two students, with beer enjoying the sight and maybe a talk with these animals. One of those two was in a small cart with blankets being pulled home by his friend. And both were having a good time.
Next I ran along the Neckar-river and by the time I reached my turnaround-point the sun had risen and I could see the mosquitoes dancing in the light. Nice to watch as long as the sun is not shining directly into your eyes. Good thing I had the sun no in my back and the moon up front to run to. On the way back, I paused a little on the Österberg again, watching the morning dew being warmed by the sun and rising up as mist over the trees.
Next time I should bring a camera to capture the people and the scenery. Too bad my only one is too big for that.
Sleeping time.

Early rise, early shine
Been jogging again early in the morning. Wonder if I can make a habit out of this instead of sleeping in all the time (which I really like to do). But no other choice today, already at 8am is was getting warm and today will be much hotter... 30+°C...
Does anyone got a spare aircon?

Jogging - again
Finally I started to jog again. Last summer I was finally jogging for the first time a few times, then the winter came, then I went to Singapore (where I did not manage to run for a number of good excuses...) and now this time I feel I am more determined to do something for my health. Still I prefer not to jog alone, it is more motivating to do it together and harder for me to find excuses not to jog. Last wednesday, it was the second time this year, but the track where I usually was running together Ying was used by a larger number of students practising all kinds of track and field athletics. So we continued to run towards the Neckar-river and see where it would take us. After running for about 4km, it became more and more a stop-n-walk-n-runagain, but still I was surprised that I could last that long, on the track, I usually have to take an earlier break and walk for a while. Then somehow we decided to find the way up to the Sand, where I study and going uphill there was even walking only quite exertive. Then heading (walking) home, we all in all covered about 7,7km.
Still looking for other people to drag me along - I am still lacking the willpower to go the distance myself and yet I do not have this legendary urge to run.
