A little bit of that and a little bit of that
A lot was going the last few days, so here is a small wrap up. After finding out that mail was apparently deliberately not being delivered to me, I called up the service of the postal comapny and registered my complaint with them. But there would be no feedback to me unless I complain a second, only then a written statement will be issued. So I have been thinking a lot about hoe many letters might have gone missing and who I should be contacting about all this. Really a headache. At least today I got the documents from C.-Bank. And I know of two other non-commercial mailings that should be here tomorrow or the day after. On the one hand I do not want to miss these, but on the other hand if one of them is not being delivered, I would have a reason to get a written statement from the postal service. It kind of bugs me that there is will not be an official reply about the reasons of the initial returned letters.
The night before yesterday I also had been sleeping very little, only about two hours and I had to return to Bosch again for my first day of work. Luckily this day was still a bit slow settling back in can getting aquainted with my new and old responsibilities. At least now I get a discounted lunch there.
Then in order to unclutter my life a little more, I try everyday to put two things online on eBay and try to sell them there. I have a lot things accumulated and a lot of books that I haven't looked at for years. And even if I get just one Euro out of these things, I will be happy. Especially all the books that are difficult to sell. But I suppose the books that still have some value are better sold on Amazon. On eBay only the auctions that start at 1 Euro are free to set up, so you run the risk to sell your book for only 1 Euro. On Amazon you can set any price and it is a lot easier to set up than eBay, but they do charge a higher commission for their services. So if you have the time and do not want to risk selling your stuff too cheap, it is better to choose Amazon.
And since it is cold, wet, cold and slippery outside and thanks to my foot, going for a run to exercise is a bit risky for me these days. I have become an even greater sloth. Well, in order to something about, I am trying the training schedules from
Hundredpushups.com and Twohundredsitups.com. Maybe I can stick to this and put a badge or two on my blog in about 6 weeks. Wish my room had a little more space though. Besides the bed, there is not much space to get down and do the exercises...
Oh well, time to sleep, got classes this weekend again.

"We" won - or not?
Just now my office was as noisy as never before:
Taiwan just won the Olympic baseball game against China.
Edit:
Apparently I was wrong, the game is still running. They just evened the score in the last minute.
Edit 2:
The game is extended inning after inning. Maybe I should learn to rules to understand what is going on...
Edit 3:
Ok, Mainland China won the game...
Time to study now and to learn the rules about this game...

Jogging Update
So far I have been jogging twice a week, each time at least 4km and I want to keep it to that minimum. Actually I started to think about jogging at least 3 times a week, but then today was the first day where I actually decided to not jog. Being lazy, needing to catch up with sleep and having cold and rainy weather was enough to give me an excuse to stay inside. Let's hope that this is not the beginning of finding more and more excuses to not jog. But it makes me think: If I really get into running frequently, how to keep on doing it during winter time? I do not wanna fork out money for gyms...
One thing that I do is to track and log the routes that I have been running on a digital map: It feels good to see how much I can actually cover (it looks impressive to me, although more seasoned runners are probably even better). If keep on doing this, I probably should use colorcoding to track my progress over the years (well, let's see if I can keep up with it for more than a year first...)
On little souvenir that we brought home from jogging one day was a tick. Apparently it had not bitten yet, did not look like it got to suck any blood, but it made me think getting incoculation as they can transfer some nasty stuff.

Jogging - again
Finally I started to jog again. Last summer I was finally jogging for the first time a few times, then the winter came, then I went to Singapore (where I did not manage to run for a number of good excuses...) and now this time I feel I am more determined to do something for my health. Still I prefer not to jog alone, it is more motivating to do it together and harder for me to find excuses not to jog. Last wednesday, it was the second time this year, but the track where I usually was running together Ying was used by a larger number of students practising all kinds of track and field athletics. So we continued to run towards the Neckar-river and see where it would take us. After running for about 4km, it became more and more a stop-n-walk-n-runagain, but still I was surprised that I could last that long, on the track, I usually have to take an earlier break and walk for a while. Then somehow we decided to find the way up to the Sand, where I study and going uphill there was even walking only quite exertive. Then heading (walking) home, we all in all covered about 7,7km.
Still looking for other people to drag me along - I am still lacking the willpower to go the distance myself and yet I do not have this legendary urge to run.
